We are pleased you have made Barquist Army Health Clinic your clinic of choice. It is our goal to partner with you to provide the best health care and provide you with unparalleled customer service.
The Patient-Centered Medical Home Model is a primary-care model adopted throughout the Military Health System and in many civilian practices throughout the nation. It is health care as it should be–easy to access, patient-centered, team-based and quality-focused. This vision has begun at Barquist Army Health Clinic where we are committed to using evidence-based practices to provide the most effective treatment for our patient population.
You will be assigned to a specific primary care manager (PCM) that is on either Team Potomac or Team Shenandoah and you should see your PCM every time you visit the clinic. You will be provided with your PCM’s name when you enroll and each time you request an appointment. Each provider/nurse team has a designated phone line for you to use for non-emergency medical concerns. This continuity will provide a partnership for your health care.
Services Offered
Our Primary Care includes:
- Acute minor illness and urgent care
- Chronic stable conditions
- Well baby care
- Physical examinations
- Routine gynecology (to include implantable contraception and intrauterine devices)
- immunizations (not to include allergy shots, or small pox)
- Vision screening
- Minor surgical procedures to include vasectomies.
- Active duty sick call is by appointment, but Service Members can present at any time to be triaged if they are unable to obtain an appointment that meets their needs.
