Mental (Behavioral) Health
Everyone reacts to stress and traumatic experiences differently. While some have reactions that can be seen as normal responses to life events, others may experience signs or symptoms of more serious conditions.
Mental health and substance misuse disorders can affect anyone;
you are not alone. The Military Health System has many resources available to help those who need it.
If you or someone you know needs support now, call or text 988 or chat at

Behavioral Health Clinic
Barquist's Department of Behavioral Health provides a broad range of multi-disciplinary behavioral health services to Fort Detrick community. At this time, our Behavioral Health Clinic serves active duty service members only. Families and eligible retirees are able to request an appointment with the Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in the Primary Care department.
Please arrive 30 minutes early to your scheduled Behavioral Health appointments to ensure the Behavioral Health Data Portal (BHDP) report is completed. BHDP is a tri-service outcome and screening tools that all patients need to complete prior to the start of their appointment.
